USGA Course Rating and Handicapping - reading material
The following links from the USGA provide administrative information for
Clubs to consider when planning revisions to their current tee
arrangements. As part of the transition to the USGA Handicapping and Course Ratng System, Australia's courses have been rated by an official Course Rating Team - a 'course' being the layout as it plays from each set of tees i.e. Blue, White, Red, Green, Royal Blue etc. In order to hold official competitions Clubs must also have Short Course layouts rated by an official Course Rating Team. It is beneficial to rate the shorter course for both genders to provide program flexibility.
