Past Projects
Lyne has worked on numerous projects across Australia and internationally. Her broad experience includes golf course design for residential developments, resort golf, and private and regional clubs. A representative list follows.
Royal Canberra Golf Club
Consulting Course Architect 1998-2008
Preliminary Master Plan. Detailed analysis of course conditions with recommendations and options for future planning. Initial priority works included the development of a quality practice chipping facility and redeveloping targeted tees and surrounds.
Redevelopment of Practice Facilities. Planning, design and construction of a 1000m2 USGA profile putting green, warm-up nets, and a 1800m2 driving range tee transformed the existing practice facilities for members.
Planning, Design and Construction of a 1000m2 Chipping Green. Built to USGA specifications, practice bunker and surrounds, to meet the needs of an increasingly busy golf course and member profile.
Select Bunker Redevelopment. Undertaken to improve drainage, visibility, access, playability and maintenance shortfalls in the most problematic of the clay bunkers. All works addressed the need to retain the intrinsic character of the original course.
Bunker Renovation. Various bunker infrastructure works including installing drainage, incorporating liner to reduce contamination of sand and measures to improve golfer and equipment access. This renovation program supported improved maintenance practices and substantially enhanced golfer playability.
Select Tee Redevelopment. Undertaken to increase playable surface areas, restore grades, improve play angles, sun access, and golfer circulation.
Repositioning and construction of select women’s tees to improve golfer playability.
Clubhouse Landscape and Traffic Analysis. Concepts and recommendations related to upgrading the grounds, traffic and pedestrian circulation around the Clubhouse precinct.

International Experience
I was fortunate to learn the golf course design process as a design associate based in Honolulu, Singapore and Sydney while working alongside American Society of Golf Course Architects members Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright.
During this time, I gained valuable experience on approximately seventy representative projects in the Hawaiian Islands, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Guam, Australia, France, Japan and Korea.
